Parent Engagement and Policy Initiative

Based on the SPARK Georgia approach, The Parent Engagement and Policy Initiative (PEPI) helps establish school success through products and policies designed to sustain and scale-up home visiting, school transitions, and parent leadership strategies throughout metropolitan Atlanta, the State of Georgia, and the country.

Smart Start/The United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta was awarded a 9-month planning grant through February 2009 from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation for Phase I of PEPI. During Phase I, in conjunction with our national partners, state and local community leaders, Smart Start will develop a proposal for continued funding as well as a two-year implementation plan for this program.
